I'm having a hard time with this riddle. My main problem is that I don't seem to be getting consistent enemies in the Orkin Stronghold one. This makes it difficult to follow the directions that refer to swine and ghosts.
I'm pretty sure after I left the moals the first time just to the SE was full of swine but can't remember where any ghosts might have been...
any suggestions that might help would be much appreciated!
Still stuck on that despite trying the dig everywhere approach...
But in other realms, the joy I feel on finding the use for the feather must be shared! |

Ok an update because I think writing down yr problems helps work them out even if I don't get the benefit of others experience...
The Divinity sewers are driving me seriously crazy. They're not killing me, I'm level 19 at the moment and have very adequate defense and melee for all the areas I can get too. I just can't find any new ones.
I have explored extensively with black morels and have found several passages around the place on level II where I found the paragraph about the murdered theoward that I can't get to. The sartori whispers tell me a mighty digger can breach walls but this hasn't worked on a single wall for me, even after drinking gutterwine. I was stoked to find a tertius level spell that would turn walls to mud but alas, all I get is fizzling sounds.
I really admire this game but lately it's been getting pretty frustrating. I thought I'd done ok on the steep learning curve deal (like I said earlier, my first rougelike) but now I just seem to be plain stuck. I have a billion ideas about how to continue but they don't usually work. When they do (like with the feather) they don't seem to get me anywhere. I'm going to persist but - I'm too wrapped up in the story not to.
My next plan is to go and try the wall melting spell in eastern timmertaut
wishing myself luck... |

| Regarding digging, the reason you get so many fizzle sounds and fail to penetrate walls with your spade is because most perimeters around open spaces are classified as undiggable arbitrarily (e.g. the entire pookah castle). This change was enacted I assume (based on examination of older threads) because many people were using the spade or that spell to sequence break large portions of the game (e.g. the entire pookah castle). You'll notice similar behavior with tweening. If you're meant to tween somewhere you'll usually have a clue indicating this is possible. Otherwise, no amount of tweening will put you on the other side of a wall. |

yeah I realised this after much frustration. I think the worst part was having the sartori whispers telling me about a mighty digger breaching walls from so early one when it wasn't till a long way into the game that I managed to get through any...
At the moment my biggest roadblocks seems to be not finding the clue I think I should in the graveyard.
I'm waiting on the cluebook which I'm sure will solve all my problems but it is much too hot to do anything outside at the moment and sedentary activities like games would rule except that I'm just going over ground I've already been over. Any hints would be much appreciated
thanks all |
